ICT & Databases

Many or our projects now require a substantial ICT or Database component.  Over recent years we have developed a suite of data tools (customised databases in Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Access and MySQL and Excel toolkits) that we use for survey data entry, project tracking, etc. Online data solutions are developed by LUCID IT - our associate Database designers and suppliers. Some recent examples of this are:

Connections Communication Centre (2006)
Research and Business Case development for the ON TRACK beneficiary monitoring and tracking system which is being developed by LUCID IT for Independent Training Providers in the Media sector.

Inclusion Through Media (2005)
Survey Database design for EQUAL funded social inclusion project in the Media Sector. See website here.

Thames Gateway Creative Skills Partnership - TGCSP (2003)
As part of the mapping research into the education, training, and skills provision for the Creative Industries in Thames Gateway, on behalf of Thames Gateway London Partnership and LSC London East, we created a sophisticated research database in Microsoft Access which enabled the storage and searching of a wide range of data elements to enable sophisticated querying of the database.  This database formed the core of the final report (More Than Bricks and Mortar). Results of user-defined queries could also be viewed in a range of dynamic charts created 'on the fly'.  The research database was handed over to TGCSP upon completion of the research phase where it was used to provide ongoing intelligence to the organisation and 'back-end' website data.

Penwith ICT STrategy (2003)
We researched and developed an ICT STrategy for this West Cornwall Local Authority.

Website Strategies
On various contracts we have also assisted clients in developing website strategies - from planning, to design, to interviewing and appointment of designers. Projects include: Netgain, Cornwall Arts Marketing, and Thames Gateway Creative Skills Partnership.
